I’m guessing nine out of ten people have no idea what social bookmarking is. For those of you that don’t, it is basically a Web 2.0 style web site, where you can signup, create a profile, then add all your favorite links. Once you’ve added all your favorite links, you get the option to either make your links public, private or share them with your friends. Since this is a social bookmarking site, you can add your friends from the network so they can see your links too. The major benefit of doing this, is that regardless of where you are in the world, you can always access your bookmarks.

Social bookmarking is also very beneficial for time killing purposes, you see, people generally only bookmark quality content, so by scrolling through friends bookmarks you might come across a web site that you may be interested and may eventually consume every waking second of your time.

When I first started in the web business I had no idea really what I was doing, I just basically wanted to make a site that earned money based on how many visitors it got. Our creation was Medialunchbox! Medialunchbox originally had funny pictures, funny videos, funny sound clips and other random funny junk. At one point we were even featured in a big UK newspaper for being a great humor site. At our peak Medialunchbox was doing well over 30,000 visitors a day, all looking for the latest and greatest funny content. We’ve since switched the focus on Medialunchbox to just having funny videos and fun games. Youtube took a big slice of our pie and the site is only getting around 6000-7000 unique visitors a day, so I thought I’d write a bit about it and try to drive an extra visitor or two a day to the site.

Medialunchbox has no popups and no intrusive ads, just pure Funny Videos and Fun games to play at your leisure.

Your probably asking what the hell squidoo is? Squidoo is this cool site where you can make something called a lens.. basically its a mini web page where you can put up information on whatever you want and provide links to sites surrounding the topic. I was bored today so I tried it out and made my very first lens about ringtones, you can check it out By following this link! Its nothing too spectacular… but was worth the half an hour I put into it.

Another cool thing about Squidoo I never mentioned is that if people wind up going to your Squidoo Lens… you make money! Sweet Huh?
